Things to do and places to see in Australia

– meet up with Preeti, Shiv, Lauren and Jackie! Meet Aman and Preeti’s ‚local‘ friends, family and have drinks at the company’s bar. Figure out that (heavy) drinking can be part of any day during the week irrespective of work.
– fall in love with Sydney! Sunbathe at bondi, coogee and manly beach in December!
– dive 15 times in the inner and outer Great Barrier Reef. Become an advanced diver and dive with sharks, sting rays, turtles and gelly fish
– visit the beautiful Whitsunday and Fraser Island, drink goon, and be surprised how much goon people can drink in one night. Enjoy one of the whitest sand beaches in the world at Whitehaven beach
– visit the twelve apostles and do a 10 minutes helicopter ride for the price of one 45 minutes dive. Discover the cutest animals ever: little penguins on Philipp island and watch them waddle out of the ocean to feed their babies. Pretend to be a tree to cuddle a koala, let birds sit in your head and chill out with kangaroos
– do hair flicks in the milla milla waterfall without Peter Andre, sleep in a swag on a lawn full of frogs and bugs, lick a lime ant’s bum, participate in a sausage eating contest, eat loads of sushi and do not book a flight via the sky scanner app as purchasing a flight ticket at the airport is quite pricy. Get into one of the fanciest restaurants in Sydney wearing thongs
– visit the amazing blue mountains and be surprised that summer clothes are not appropriate for mountains in Sydney. Find out that there are storm warning watches!
– figure out that British convicts were sent for days and weeks on a treadmill as a punishment for robbery. Don’t question why Australians are sporty and run wherever possible.
– kayak in the poshest area of Noosa and envy the people living in these amazing houses
– discover that prices on menus are subject to change and can increase easily
– meet awesome people from Australia, Holland, Belgium, France, Canada, Norway, China, Brazil, Germany and Uk
– look forward to going home for Christmas, catching up with your lovely friends and family back home, not sleeping in a bunk bed, to showering without flip flops, sleeping through the night as no inconsiderate backpacker switches on the light or makes noise for whatever reason and to not carrying your wardrobe/backpack around…until the next trip starts 😉
